Accessibility

This section has been designed to help inform your decision about attending the Big Tribute festival, enabling you to plan your weekend and navigate any potential inconveniences prior to arriving on-site.

If you have questions that remain unanswered then please don’t hesitate to get in touch via big.tribute@gmail.com or via our Facebook page and someone will get back to you asap.

Accessible Camping

Our accessible campsite and car park are a designated area for customers who are unable to camp in the standard campsites or who need access to specialist facilities we provide.

The site will be available from 8am on Friday 23rd August until 12pm on Monday 26th August 2024. Enter the festival site via Gate 1 and then turn left where the Accessible Campsite will be clearly signed.

Our accessible campsite and car park is a largely flat area (sloping up as you head further away towards the back of main stage), with accessible toilets and standard showers.

It’s located close to the main arena to reduce travelling distance and make your experience more manageable.

The accessible car park is next to our accessible campsite. Space permitting, you are welcome to drive in to unload but you are not able to leave your vehicle in situ.

On arrival via Gate 1, our stewards or security members will direct you to the designated accessible parking and camping areas.

Group size in Accessible Camping

In order to keep enough space for those with genuine access needs, this year we are putting in restrictions on the number of group size for Accessible Camping.

Alongside the person with access requirements, the PA (if required), and any children in your group, you are welcome to invite up to 2 other adult friends or family members to camp in the accessible campsite – so you can have up to 4 adults in your group in total.

This number has been capped so that we can prioritise space and facilities within the field for those with access requirements and your co-operation is appreciated.

Live in vehicles – Accessible Camping

We can accommodate a limited number of campervans and caravans in Accessible Campsite. To bring a caravan or campervan please purchase an accessible live in vehicle ticket.

Site Access

The Big Tribute festival site is a farmland site with varying topography and ground conditions so please be aware that this does mean we have lots of grass, gravel tracks and sometimes mud!

We ask you to be mindful of the constrictions we have as a greenfield site and a working farm. For customers with mobility requirements, please do consider that an all-terrain wheelchair or pushchair may be required.

Most of the main routes from campsites / carparks to the festival arena can be reached via pathways (either gravel track or plastic trackway) but as most of the site is grass, please note weather conditions can dramatically affect the ground conditions.

Wherever possible please try to consider what preparations you may need to make and equipment you may need to bring along.

Accessible Parking

Accessibility parking is located next to accessible campsite with an easy route into the festival for all accessible customers.

If you are being dropped off, there is a drop off point accessed via Gate 1 for customers heading to the Festival Box Office at the main entrance.

Accessible Facilities

One Accessible Toilet will be located at each block of toilets within the main arena.

Accessible Toilets are also located in the Accessible Camping area.

A viewing platform with access ramp is located by the Front of House tent in front of the main stage. Please speak to a member of our stewarding team if you require any assistance there.

Personal Assistant (PA) Ticket

If you are unable to attend the festival without additional support, you can apply for a complimentary ticket for a personal assistant to accompany you throughout the weekend.

Free carer tickets available to users registered on the HYNT scheme. Contact Aberystwyth Arts Centre box office for more details (In person, by email on artstaff@aber.ac.uk or by phone on 01970 623232).

Assistance dogs

No animals are permitted anywhere on site except for assistance dogs ONLY.

Assistance dogs are permitted to the event, but this must be an assistance dog that is recognised by one of the official charitable organisations as members of Assistance Dogs UK.

Please note, therapy / emotional support dogs or animals are not classed as assistance animals.

The Big Tribute reserves the right to turn away dogs at the gate who do not comply with this process or meet the requirements of an assistance animal.

Please note if you do need to bring your assistance dog with you, you must inform our team ahead of your visit on big.tribute@gmail.com so that they can help facilitate your entry at the festival.
